Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Oslo on Tuesday to meet with envoys from the United States, according to Norwegian officials. The visit aims to put diplomacy back on a “more constructive path” between Kyiv and Washington.

Relations between the two capitals have recently deteriorated, notably following an agreement last week between US President Donald Trump and Moscow for the purchase of Russian diesel. Furthermore, Zelensky has accused the United States of delaying the scheduled delivery of interceptor missiles to Ukraine.

This meeting in Oslo thus takes place amid diplomatic tensions, as Ukraine seeks to strengthen its military support against Russia.
