The editorial teams of 39 French media outlets, including France 24 and RFI, published a joint statement on Friday denouncing recent remarks by Marine Le Pen, National Rally candidate, against the investigative site Mediapart.
These media outlets denounce “violent attempts at intimidation” against press freedom, considering these attacks “particularly worrying for the right to information to which the population of a democratic country is entitled.”
