Dino Beganovic won the Formula 2 Sprint Race on the Baku street circuit, securing his second consecutive victory of the 2026 season with the DAMS Lucas Oil team.

Starting third on the grid, the Swedish driver quickly gained a position at the first corner by overtaking Laurens van Hoepen. He then kept pressure on championship leader Nikola Tsolov before passing him using DRS to take the race lead.

Once in front, Beganovic extended his gap to fend off attacks, notably during a safety car restart on the final lap, allowing him to finish ahead of van Hoepen in second place.

Alexander Dunne, who started tenth, delivered an impressive performance to finish third and earn valuable points for his championship ambitions. Leader Tsolov made a mistake at turn 16, dropping him down to fifth place.

Rafael Camara, second in the overall standings, had a difficult race after contact with Mari Boya on the first lap, resulting in a 10-second penalty that prevented him from scoring points.

Gabriele Mini, third in the championship, also failed to score points in Baku. The next race, Feature Race 1, will take place on Friday with Dunne on pole position.
