Dafroza Gauthier, known for dedicating nearly 30 years to tracking Rwandan genocidaires who had taken refuge in France alongside her husband Alain, died Saturday in Reims, her spouse told AFP on Sunday.

Nicknamed the “Klarsfeld of Rwanda,” she tirelessly worked to bring to justice the alleged perpetrators of the 1994 Tutsi genocide, which claimed more than 800,000 lives.

Thomas Zribi, co-director of the documentary “Rwanda: Pursuing the Genocidaires,” spoke about her commitment during an interview on France 24 on Sunday, October 4.
