Following their collision at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto have confirmed they have made peace and are focusing on the remainder of the season, Alpine announced.

During the restart behind the safety car, Colapinto braked too late and collided with the side of Gasly’s car, which was pushed into the McLaren of Lando Norris, causing all three drivers to retire. Colapinto quickly apologized after the race.

Colapinto received a five-place grid penalty for the Bahrain Grand Prix, but Gasly stated that the incident is now behind them. “It was an unfortunate and costly mistake, but everything is clear between us,” he explained.

Gasly emphasized the importance of focusing on the constructors’ championship and the battle for fifth place, stressing that the team must stay united despite difficulties. Colapinto also expressed optimism for the upcoming races, believing that challenging moments strengthen the team.
