Riyadh airport remains closed this Monday, October 12, following an attack claimed by Houthi rebels that resulted in 14 deaths, the deadliest on Saudi territory in ten years, according to RFI.

The Houthis also carried out strikes against Dammam airport and energy facilities of the giant Aramco, in what they describe as “large-scale operations.”

Saudi Arabia has been providing military support to the Yemeni government in its fight against the Houthi rebels since 2014. Since July, clashes have resumed, and since October 10, the Houthis claim to have conducted 124 strikes on Yemeni territory.
