The Spanish government, led by Pedro Sanchez, has reached an agreement with the radical left party Sumar to present two decree-laws aimed at addressing the housing crisis, reports RFI on Thursday, September 30.

These texts are to be submitted to Parliament in an extraordinary plenary session on Friday, October 2, under an emergency procedure.

Despite this announcement, the protesters occupying Puerta del Sol in Madrid since the previous Saturday have declared their intention to maintain their camp at least until the vote, in order to continue pressuring for housing rights.
