Since May 1968, student protests in France have regularly been disrupted by rioters who disturb the mobilizations. This phenomenon is well known and has recurred during several movements, notably the one against the Devaquet law.

On Thursday, the situation again severely deteriorated during student protests, to the extent that all prefects issued orders banning demonstrations near high schools this Friday, which are closed.

This measure aims to prevent further disturbances and ensure safety around educational institutions.
