The FIA Formula 2 and Formula 3 championships have announced their calendars for the 2027 season, featuring several major updates.

Formula 2 will contest 14 rounds, while Formula 3 will compete in 10 races, all supporting the Formula 1 Grand Prix events.

Among the new additions, F2 will return to Montreal, a circuit first visited in 2026, and will add two new stops to its calendar: Mexico City and Istanbul, with the latter hosting a race for the first time in the FIA Formula 2 era.

Formula 3 will also visit Jeddah and Montreal for the first time, before concluding its season in Istanbul, a new venue for this category.

The season will begin in March at Bahrain for F2 and at Jeddah for F3, followed by Melbourne in April and Montreal in May. The season will continue with classic rounds such as Monaco, Silverstone, Spielberg, Monza, and Madrid.

In September, F2 will race alone in Azerbaijan before joining F3 in Istanbul for the final F3 race. F2 will conclude its season with races in Mexico, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi.

Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1, praised the addition of Istanbul and Mexico City, highlighting F2’s key role as a stepping stone to Formula 1 and the high quality of racing offered.

Bruno Michel, CEO of FIA Formula 2, explained that the inclusion of the three new circuits is financially sustainable, with transportation costs covered to avoid impacting the teams.
