British Prime Minister Andy Burnham warned on Sunday that French and German voters face a risk of Russian influence in their upcoming elections.
He referred to a “clear interference” by Russia during the 2016 British Brexit referendum, emphasizing that this experience should prompt vigilance.
Russia has denied any interference in the Brexit vote, while former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson also stated in 2020 that there was no evidence of such influence.
Burnham made these remarks in an interview with the podcast The Rest is Politics, published on Sunday.
