The 2026 Paris Motor Show officially opened its doors this Monday in Paris, bringing together more than 200 automotive brands showcasing their latest models and innovations.

Among them, Chinese manufacturers such as BYD, Xpeng, and Zeekr are drawing particular attention, as their market share in Europe has significantly increased in recent years. This rapid growth is fueling intense competition with traditional European brands, which are denouncing business practices they consider unfair.

John Bozzella, CEO of the Alliance for Automotive Innovation, highlighted at the event the challenge these new Chinese players pose to the European and North American automotive industries.
