The leader of the Indian student movement known as the “Cockroaches,” Abhijeet Dipke, was arrested Saturday in New Delhi by police, reports France 24.

This arrest comes ahead of an unauthorized protest that Dipke had called to organize, demanding the resignation of the president of the Indian Election Commission.

The “Cockroach People’s Party” (CJP), the driving force behind this student revolt, announced the arrest on social media by posting images of the airplane jet bridge from which Dipke reportedly disembarked in New Delhi to join the gathering.
