Pauline Bayle offers a female adaptation of the Mahabharata, one of humanity’s oldest epics, at Théâtre Public de Montreuil.

The Mahabharata, written in the 5th century BCE, is a monumental narrative of 250,000 verses divided into 19 books. It recounts a fratricidal war between two clans of the Bharata royal family, who vie for the throne.

This version, titled Mahabharata, a Story of Violence, is playing until October 24 in Montreuil, providing a unique female perspective on this story of family, power, and violence.
